The Problem with Money
(The author is putting âmoneyâ in quotes because he knows not money exists. It is all debt: Federal Reserve Note. A ânoteâ that is backed by nothing is not money. JRD)
âI'm simply pointing out âmoneyâ isn't simple, and âbackingâ money with X leads to questions about the nature of âmoney,â collateral and the fluidity and complexity of the social construct we call âmoney.â"
âNotice how "money" expands. This isn't just from the Treasury printing currency bills, or issuing new bonds, or the Federal Reserve creating "money" out of thin air to buy those Treasury bonds, it's also government agencies issuing bonds, corporations issuing bonds, mortgages on real estate being originated, student loans being issued, auto loans being originated, etc.
Note that all this debt "money" is backed by some sort of collateral. It might be a tangible object like a house on a parcel of land, or it might be the income stream from a government, corporation or individual.
Backing âmoneyâ with tangible things like gold sounds like a splendid solution to problems like inflation, but it comes with knotty questions about exactly what counts as âmoney,â what âmoneyâ is actually backed, and how is this âmoneyâ backed if it cannot be converted into whatever is backing it-- gold, wheat, land, shares in a corporation, etc. (The author is pointing out that only real things, such as gold, a house, etc. backs âmoney.â - JRD
Consider a mortgage. The mortgage is debt backed by the collateral of a house on a parcel of land. The house and land âbackâ the new âmoneyâ created when the mortgage is originated. When I pay off the mortgage, I'm converting my cash âmoneyâ into what âbackedâ the âmoneyâ: a house and parcel of land.
In other words, I converted cash into what âbackedâ the money: a house. If gold âbacksâ money, then it's only actually âbackingâ money if I can convert my cash into gold, just as I can convert cash into a house by paying off the mortgage.â

From Court-Packing To Leaking To Doxxing: White House Yields To National Rage Addiction
âIt is a defining moment for his presidency that, even in the face of such a disgraceful and unethical act, the President cannot muster the courage to condemn it...â
âHe then magnified that failure by refusing to condemn the doxing and targeting of justices and their families at their homes.
Here is the column:
Nearly 70 years ago, a little-known lawyer named Joseph Welch famously confronted Sen. Joseph McCarthy (D-Wis.) in defense of a young man hounded over alleged un-American views.
Welch told McCarthy that âI think I have never really gauged ⊠your recklessnessâ before asking: âHave you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?â
It was a defining moment in American politics as Welch called out a politician who had abandoned any semblance of principle in the pursuit of political advantage. This week, the same scene played out in the White House with one striking difference: This was no Joseph Welch to be found.
After someone in the Supreme Court leaked a draft opinion in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Womenâs Health Organization, a virtual flash-mob formed around the court and its members demanding retributive justice. This included renewed calls for court âpacking,â as well as the potential targeting of individual justices at their homes. Like the leaking of the opinion itself, the doxing of justices and their families is being treated as fair game in our age of rage.

The extinction of species, Bill Gates, and the US military-Jon Rappoport
âThere is a technology called gene drives.
It asks the question: what species should we make extinct today?
Why are Bill Gates and the US military involved in forwarding that technology?
A gene-drive scientist might say, âI have a plan. By manipulating genes, we can make invasive rodents extinct, on an island where humans are living.â
In the next fraction of a second, a flurry of questions pops up.
The overarching question is: Does this mean genetic manipulation can make ANY species extinct?
Here is a passage from Gene Drive Files, a site with a referenced information on the subject:â
