How Bad Economic Policies Drive Out Good Entrepreneurs
Re-posted:
“Like bad money driving out good money, government intervention can also create Gresham’s law conditions for entrepreneurs. Using the political process, bad entrepreneurs can get government to regulate entrepreneurial competition out of business.”
“Gresham’s law states that bad money drives out good money. Gresham’s law goes something like this: overvalued money that has less actual value circulates in a market economy, and the undervalued money with the same face value but whose metal has more value is hoarded and thus goes away. People move the good money out of an economy for future use in better markets, while the bad money is circulated and takes over as a common economic good.
What does Gresham’s law have to do with entrepreneurship, what we call the gig economy, and bad economic policy? Well, there have been recent changes in the classification of gig entrepreneurial contractors. Contractors are slowly losing their entrepreneurial independence in the freedom of what we call the gig economy. These changes and mandates are signs of an anti-gig, anti-free-market sentiment. So, if Gresham says that bad money drives out the good money, the same can be said of good entrepreneurs—they are driven out of gig economies by bad policies.
Unfortunately, recently, there has been an attempt to enact regulation on the gig economy that will drain its life force, making entrepreneurs and contractors full-time employees of the firms they service; this is absolutely unfavorable for real people seeking to be independent entrepreneurs. More importantly, these policies are chipping away at markets that are free to enter. The gig economy is the final free market. When free markets are hampered, entrepreneurs disappear. What drives them away? Bad economic policies.”

The Menace of Political Show Trials
“In recent days, we have had brought home to us what ‘show trials’ are like. They are not confined to Soviet Russia and it satellite countries during the Cold War but are a very present reality to us in America today. Political opponents of Donald Trump charged him with felonies for acts that were entirely legal. The judge in the case was a political opponent of Trump and worked artfully to prevent the trial jury from hearing testimony that would have exposed the imposture.
“In view of what has happened, I think it would be interesting to discuss some earlier show trials, the Nuremberg trials held after World War II, as discussed in the important book by Danilo Zolo, Victor’s Justice, (Verso, 2009)
Should war crimes, i.e., violations of rights during a war, be treated as criminal offenses? Proponents of this view often suggest that, just as courts punish individuals within a nation who commit crimes, so should international courts put on trial and punish political leaders and soldiers who violate rights.
Hans Kelsen, the most famous European legal theorist of the 20th century, suggested in 1944 exactly such a system.”

Trump’s Real COVID Treatment Making Waves Again
“In early 2020, just as Fauci was hijacking the FDA and CDC, President Donald Trump made a declaration about COVID19 treatment that shocked the leftists:
‘A lot of good things have come out about the hydroxy. A lot of good things have come out. You'd be surprised at how many people are taking it, especially the front-line workers — before you catch it. I happen to be taking it. I happen to be taking it. ... I'm taking it — hydroxychloroquine — right now.’
President Trump’s statements were immediately decried by Fauci’s medical bureaucracy and the mainstream media as ‘misinformation.’ The American Medical Association published a statement admonishing the President and his physician’s recommendation:
‘…some physicians and others are prophylactically prescribing medications currently identified as potential treatments for COVID-19… We strongly oppose these actions.’
Trump was right. Hydroxychloroquine could have saved untold lives.
Off-label use of hydroxychloroquine has been proven effective for treatment of COVID19 in numerous studies since Trump took it in 2020.
Now in 2024, we have the prospect of H5N1 Bird Flu. Dr. Peter McCullough, COVID19 expert and Chief Scientific Officer at The Wellness Company, sees unsettling similarities to the pre-pandemic narrative, with the mainstream media and Big Pharma positioned to restrict effective, cheap medicines.
Trump’s Hydroxychloroquine could be one of those drugs restricted again. Dr. McCullough recently shared crucial research to his Substack readers that hydroxychloroquine is likely effective against H5N1:
‘Yan, et al. studied H5N1 infection in the laboratory and demonstrated that physiological relevant concentrations of chloroquine inhibited viral entry and damage to human cells. Additionally, when given as treatment and not prophylaxis, chloroquine reduced pulmonary alveolar infiltrates and improved survival in mice after a lethal dose of H5N1 from zero to 70%.’”
